Erik Lamela scored a memorable goal in the London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s Argentine footballer Erik Lamela scored an incredible goal as Arsenal defeated Tottenham 2-1 in the North London derby in the Premier League.
Lamela met Lucas’ pass on reguilon’s cross from the left flank, shot ‘rabona’ from the edge of the box and put the ball through Thomas Partey’s legs and into the net.
Lamela’s shot, which was a goal that will not be forgotten for many years, became one of the most talked about topics on social media.
Sergio Reguilon’s reaction at Tottenham after the goal was also noted. Reguilon couldn’t hide his surprise by putting both hands to his head when he couldn’t believe his teammate’s goal like all football fans.
After the game, this great goal was widely talked about in England, with Jamie Redknapp saying: “It’s going to be one of the best goals in Premier League history. It’s simply incredible.”
Erik Lamela, on the other hand, is not the first time he has scored such a rabona goal. The Argentine also played for Tottenham in 2014, scoring a goal against Asteras Tripolis in the UEFA Europa League. After that goal, teammate Vertonghen, like Reguilion, put both hands on his head and reacted to Lamela’s goal.
Lamela, who came on in the 19th minute after Heung Min Son was injured, scored the perfect goal in the 33rd minute and was red-carded in the 76th minute. Lamela became the 5th player in Premier League history to score a goal and get a red card after coming on late in the game.
