Italian giant Inter to change club’s name and logo

Italy’s Serie A side Inter are preparing for a surprise move. The Milan representative aims to increase brand value and reach more people in the global market by going to change his name and logo.

The Inter club, whose full name is FC Internazionale Milano, is preparing for a significant change within the club.

Founded in 1908, the club is preparing to undergo a drastic change in its name and logo.

Inter, who share a city with archrival Milan, will start using the club name only as “Inter Milan” from the beginning of March.

Inter wants to further put their own identity forward by going to this change. The blue-and-blacks were formed with 44 members who were fired from the AC Milan football team. At the time, the entire team consisted of Swiss and Italian footballers and was therefore open to foreign players.

That’s why the word “international” was used in the club’s name. The club wants to become a more international club, leaving my identity as an “international” that it has adopted for many years.

In this direction, the club is preparing to make the biggest change in its logo. The blue-and-blacks will make a drastic change to their logo in the name of branding, as Juventus have done before.

The club, which will continue on its way as Inter Milan, is planned to switch to a minimal logo of the letters “IM”. In 2017, Juventus, one of Inter’s archrivals, made a radical decision to change its logo to a minimal style. With these decisions, clubs want to brand themselves and reach maximum people all over the world.
