Ryan Coogler, director of the Marvel film Black Panther, announced that they have signed a collaboration agreement with the Disney+ platform. Under the 5-year agreement, filming of a series on the Kingdom of Wakanda will begin.
Wakanda series to continue series
Coogler, who directed as well as directed the film Black Panther and also starred in Black Panther 2, which will be released on July 8, 2022, will carry out a series project on the Disney+ platform related to Wakanda as part of the new deal. The deal with Proximity Media offers the possibility to create projects not only for Marvel Studios, but also for Disney, Deadline reported.
“We can’t wait to work on joint projects with Disney,” he said. There’s not much information on the new Wakanda project. Coogler, however, is predicted to move forward on the basis he established in both the first film and the second.
On the other hand, the series also reveals how strong the relationships between Marvel and Disney are. As a result of the partnership, WandaWision had recently begun. It will be followed by The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which will air in March, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and the animated series What If, which will air in May.
