HBO has announced the screenwriter of 10,000 Ships, one of four yet-to-be-announced Game of Thrones projects max is working on.
The screenwriter of 10,000 Ships, one of HBO Max’s new Game of Thrones projects, has been announced. According to Deadline, 2015, the 2016 U.S. President of the United Amanda Segel, who previously produced shows such as Helstrom and Person of Interest, was appointed head of the 10,000 Ships project. Segel is already writing the script for the show.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s book of the same name, the series 10,000 Ships will focus on the warrior queen Princess Nymeria. Set nearly 1,000 years before Game of Thrones, we read about the journey of the Rhoynar people from Essos to Dorne, who lost to Valyria in battle. The name Nymeria that Arya Stark gave her wolf came from Princess Nymeria.
HBO Max currently has four Game of Thrones projects that have not been officially announced. Along with 10,000 Ships, there are 9 Voyages (Sea snakes), Tales of Dunk & egg, and Flea Bottom. Script work has already begun on three series besides Flea Bottom. If HBO Max is pleased with the developments on this site, it could officially announce the series in the future.
Meanwhile, HBO Max’s first Game of Thrones spin-off series, House of the Dragon, is in production. In recent weeks, he has released the first official images from the show. House of the Dragon, set 300 years before Game of Thrones will premiere on HBO Max in 2022.
