Frexit on the agenda in France after England

Many countries around the world have been hit hard by the corona virus outbreak, as well as casualties. The article titled “Is this the beginning of the end in the European Union?” published by Laurent Herble in Le Figaro, one of France’s most widely read newspapers, touched on the union’s desperation in the face of the corona virus.

The article stated that the EU has not fully taken on its role in the corona virus outbreak and is inadequate. In his article, Herble used the Frexit analogy, stating that France, like Britain, could leave the EU.

Herble stated that the EU is also inadequate, especially in the economic problems created by the epidemic, “The European Union has not been able to protect us from financial, economic or medical crises. The EU is a mismatched bureaucratic structure that paralyzes us, distracts us and does nothing to protect us.”
