Director Matt Reeves has announced the completion of filming for The Batman. The film will hit theaters in 2022.

Filming for the new Batman film with Robert Pattinson is finally over. Director Matt Reeves, who made the announcement on Twitter, also made sure to post a photo from the last day of shooting. The Batman film is scheduled for release on March 4, 2022.

Filming for the new Batman first began in January 2020. However, due to the pandemic that erupted in February, filming was halted for about six months. Finally, in September, filming started again and finally ended as of this week. During this period, there were also cases where filming was stopped briefly due to covid-19 detection in both the set team and the lead, Robert Pattinson.
The Batman, currently the most eagerly anticipated film in the DC cinematic universe, stars Robert Pattinson as well as Paul Dano (Riddler), Colin Farrell (Penguin) Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon) and John Turturro (Carmine Falcone).
We’re going to see a very different Bruce Wayne character in the new Batman movie. Director Matt Reeves said the new Bruce Wayne would be a bit of an inexperienced Batman, having just spent his second year as Batman. The first trailer released last year featured images confirming this, with Bruce Wayne emerging as a dark character motivated entirely by revenge.
