Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that Deadpool will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new Deadpool movie will come with the age limit of 18 (R-Rated) just like other movies.
One of the biggest question marks that emerged after 20th Century Fox’s sale of Disney was about the future of Deadpool. Marvel clarified this issue last year and confirmed that the series will continue where it left off. However, some fans suspected that Deadpool came under the roof of Disney, as Disney’s Marvel films do not include R-Rated (+18) productions as you know. Deadpool’s concerns that it will be “disneyised” has now come from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
First character to switch between two cinematic universes
Speaking to Collider, Feige confirmed that the Deadpool 3 movie will come with the 18-year-old limit and announced that it will keep the spirit of the series. Feige made some statements about the shooting dates of the film, and used the following sentences:
“Deadpool 3 will be R-Rated. We are currently working on the script for the movie, Ryan is looking at the script. The film will not begin shooting this year. Ryan is a very busy and very successful actor. Deadpool will be a very different character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ryan too.” It’s a whole different name. It’s amazing that Ryan is playing Deadpool. “
Kevin Feige has thus officially confirmed that Deadpool 3 will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As Feige has stated, Deadpool is a kind of character that we are not used to seeing in the Marvel universe, adding a completely different energy to the universe. Fans are already getting excited.
We do not currently have any information about Deadpool 3’s release date or subject. Filming will not start this year, so it is unlikely that it will arrive before 2023.
