Black Panther 2’s shooting date has been announced

After the death of famous actor Chadwick Boseman, who gave life to the first film, the decommissioning date of the Black Panther 2 project has been announced. The July March 2021 film is expected to begin in Atlanta next year.

New shooting date set for Black Panther 2 film

A sequel to Marvel’s beloved Black Panther has been suspended after famed actor Chadwick Boseman had just fallen into cancer. July, March 2021 shooting is expected to begin, the studio said, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but the film is expected to start in July. In the new film, Tenoch Huerta, whom we know from Narcos Mexico, will play the main villain. The sequel will also feature the likes of Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett, who appeared in the first film.

Asked whether Chadwick Boseman would feature in the new film with visual effects, the answer came from Marvel Studios executive producer Victoria Alonso. “There’s only one Chadwick and he’s not among us anymore,” Alonso said, adding that he had no such plans.

The studio did not release any films in 2020. This was the first year without a Marvel production since 2009. And next year will be very busy for the studio. Wandavision, which will come in collaboration with Disney+, will meet the audience on January 15. Black Widow film, which is one year back from its Normal vision date, will be available to cinema lovers on May 7.

Black Panther 2 is expected to be released in 2022 if there are no complications.
