A woman named Jennifer Little was horrified to see the manhole cover on the bedroom floor. So much so that this hatch opened to an underground bunker. It contained two bunk beds, food and urinals and seemed untouched for decades.
Jennifer Little, who lives with her husband in the US state of California, stunned while sharing her enigmatic discovery on TikTok.
The house was built in 1951, and according to Jennifer, people were very concerned about nuclear bombs at the time and had built shelter for themselves. The bunker in question includes medicines, a few items, bunk beds and urinals.
Jennifer initially thought the bunker was for World War II, but later learned that in the Cold War there could be a bunker for nuclear bombs. “There is a shelter in this house, it was quite normal at the time. People were terrified of a nuclear bomb in central California. The shelter also has beds and ventilation.
