An explosion near a school west of the Afghan capital Kabul killed 30 people and wounded 54.
An explosion occurred near Sayed-ul-Shuhada High School in dasht-e Barchi district, west of the Afghan capital Kabul.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said in a statement that 25 people were killed in the blast, which occurred at 4:27 p.m. Arian said 52 people injured in the blast were taken to hospitals.
Meanwhile, an explosion near Sayed-ul-Shuhada High School weighed heavily on the balance sheet. Earlier, Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said 25 people were killed in the blast, adding that the death toll had risen to 30 and that 54 people had been injured.
