Ukrainian Deputy Health Minister Viktor Lyashko, who was vaccinated against AstraZeneca, announced that he tested positive for a new type of corona virus (Covid-19).
Lyashko said on Facebook that it has been 13 days since he was vaccinated against AstraZeneca and therefore has not yet developed full immunity.
Announcing that the Covid-19 test result was positive, Lyashko reminded that the effectiveness of the vaccine started after the 22nd day, according to the studies.
Lyashko said he believes the vaccine will help him recover from the disease without difficulty and will return to work shortly.
53,155 people were vaccinated in Ukraine, where mass vaccinations began on February 24th using the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Covid-19 has been detected in 6,792 people in the country in the last 24 hours.
Previously, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Romania, Italy and Bulgaria temporarily stopped using the vaccine.
