In Germany it was accepted that those who were vaccinated should be exempted from the restrictions.

German media reported yesterday that the leaders of the ruling Christian Union Parties (CDU/CSU) and the Social Democratic Party (SPD), which form the federal government, had agreed to exempt those vaccinated against Covid-19 and those who have recovered from the disease from some restrictions.

German Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht announced in a statement that a regulation to exempt those vaccinated against Covid-19 and those who have recovered from the disease from certain restrictions has been adopted by the Council of Ministers.

According to the adopted regulation, they will be exempt from the social distancing rule and the ban in areas where curfews are imposed and will be able to meet with each other without social distancing. Those who are vaccinated and recovering will continue to wear masks in public places and follow the social distancing rule.

The regulation is expected to be put to a vote in the Federal Council after being debated in the Federal Parliament later this week. The total number of cases in Germany reached 3,439,730 and the total loss of life reached 84,143.
