He was taken to hospital in a serious condition... Navalni quits hunger strike

Alexei Navalni, an opponent of President Vladimir Putin in Russia, began a hunger strike in prison on March 31st.

Navalni, who was also allegedly mistreated in prison, was taken to hospital after his condition worsened. There was a warm development today regarding Navalni, who is concerned about the state of the world public, especially European leaders.

Navalni, who is being treated in hospital, posted a statement on his social media account. Announcing his decision to end the hunger strike after 24 days, Navalni said he had suffered the loss of feeling in his arms and legs. Navalni said that two separate civilian doctors saw him, but stressed that he wanted to see a doctor of his choice receive appropriate treatment.

Navalni thanked the good people around the world who supported him, especially in Russia.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalni was sent to Germany for treatment after being poisoned in Russia and arrested at the airport when he returned to Moscow upon completion of his treatment. Navalni was sentenced in February to 2 years and 8 months in prison for violating the terms of his probation. The sentence stems from Navalni’s embezzlement conviction in 2014.
