In Argentina, a man fired 11 shots at a person who liked a photo his girlfriend posted on social media. The shooter was taken to hospital, while the assailant surrendered to police.
Nicolas Jaime, 23, in the Merlo district of Buenos Aires, Argentina, shot Damian Di Bella, who liked a photo posted on social media by his girlfriend, Micaela.
Jaime drew his gun after Jaime approached di Bella’s vehicle on his motorcycle during the incident and fired at least 11 shots in a row at Di Bella’s vehicle. Di Bella lost control of the vehicle he was driving when one of the bullets hit his neck and stopped, hitting a roadside pole. Crews were dispatched to the scene after a witness called the police. Di Bella was taken to hospital.
“The shooter was my friend Micaela’s boyfriend Nicolas,” police said of the man who shot him before he was taken to hospital.
Police confirmed Jaime fired at least 11 shots after counting shell casings collected at the scene. Jaime, who initially fled the scene, surrendered to the police station in Buenos Aires’ Matera district, along with the gun and motorcycle he later used in the attack, police officials said.
Di Bella, who was injured, is still in hospital and is not in a life-threatening condition. The incident was captured on security cameras.
