Greek Deputy Tourism Minister Sofia Zaharaki said the tourist season in Greece will open on May 14th, and those who come to the country for a holiday will be asked for a vaccination certificate approved by one of the EU countries.



Greek Deputy Tourism Minister Sofia Zaharaki said on Mega TV that the tourist season in Greece is expected to open on May 14th. Minister Zaharaki said that by then a pilot with Israel would begin and the first Israeli tourists would arrive.



Foreign tourists coming to Greece will be asked for a vaccination certificate, a negative PCR test, as well as a certificate on whether they have probably passed Covid-19, Zaharaki told readers of the www.greekcitytimes.com news site.
Zaharaki said tourism workers will be given priority in vaccination, adding that this year’s tourist season will be better than last year.
