Israeli strikes on Gaza kill 174 Palestinians, including 47 children, 29 women
The death toll from Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 174, including 47 children and 29 women.
Meanwhile, the number of people killed and wounded in attacks on Gaza has risen to 45 since midnight alone.
Ashraf al-Kudra, the spokesman for the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, said in a written statement that search and rescue efforts were underway in the rubble of destroyed buildings in Israeli attacks on various parts of Gaza starting at midnight.
The body of Dr. Eymen Abu al-Avf, head of the Internal Medicine Department of the Healing Hospital, was also recovered from the rubble of one of the destroyed buildings, Kudra said, adding that eight people, mostly women, and children, were killed and 45 wounded in the attacks since midnight.
Earlier, it was announced that four people had been killed and 42 wounded in Israeli heavy airstrikes in various parts of Gaza since midnight.
Ashraf al-Kudra, the spokesman for the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, said in a video statement sent to reporters yesterday, “The Palestinian people are being subjected to a full-throated war of genocide by Israel. Israel is specifically targeting civilians living safely in their homes; they are tearing their houses down,” he said.
At least 150 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since May 10.
