Ten people have been killed and 367 injured by the hurricane, which has hit central and eastern China.
Authorities said a tornado struck at 7 p.m. local time yesterday in Shingzı, Ciangsu province, and at 8:40 p.m. in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province.
Six people were killed and 218 injured in Wuhan by the hurricane, which reached speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.
The hurricane destroyed 27 homes in Wuhan and caused extensive damage to 130 homes.
About 26,600 households are without power service while power grids are damaged in hurricane-hit Wuhan.
Authorities say the hurricane that hit Shingzi killed four people and injured 149.
Several factories were damaged in Shingzı, causing large power outages.
In both hurricane-hit areas, emergency crews have begun search and rescue, debris removal, road clearing and emergency relief efforts.
