BTS, the famous K-pop group that made its name with every step it took, became Louis Vuitton’s new international brand ambassador. Pop superstars will work with the fashion house on several special projects and are expected to be equipped with LV in upcoming performances and appearances.
BTS was thought to have made a stylish choice for the awards ceremony last month when they wore exclusive Louis Vuitton outfits to the Grammys. Now it turns out they’re giving a clue.
The 7-member South Korean K-pop group BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, has been officially introduced as Louis Vuitton’s latest brand faces.
“BTS’s ubiquitous popularity resonates around the world, and Louis Vuitton is very happy to share the news about their new role,” Louis Vuitton said, calling them “one of the most well-known and influential bands in the world.”
Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton’s Director of Men’s Art, said in a statement that the brand has spent time with the group to review their creative visions and ideas. “I’m delighted that BTS is joining Louis Vuitton today,” Abloh said. “I look forward to this wonderful partnership, which combines luxury and contemporary culture to add a modern section to the fashion house. I can’t wait to share all the exciting projects we’ve been working on.”
“This is a really exciting moment for us to be global brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton,” BTS adds.
The world-famous group BTS, which has set 16 world records so far, has titles such as the most viewed video on YouTube in 24 hours, the first K-Pop group to reach number one on the US Artist 100 list, the account that reached one million followers on TikTok in the shortest time, and South Korea’s best-selling album.
