Fouremen have been injured in a suicide attack targeting a church in Indonesia’s South Sulawesi province.
A motorcycle suicide attack on a Catholic church was carried out during Sunday mass at 10.30am local time in Makassar, capital of Indonesia’s South Sulawesi province.
Fourteen people were injured in the attack, state police said. The wounded were taken to hospital, while the suicide bomber was pronounced dead. The explosion caused damage to the church.
Church pastor Wilhelmus Tulak said in a statement that the assailant came to the front of the church on a motorcycle but was prevented from entering by security guards, during which time he blew himself up.
