A 20-year-old boy in the US was killed while filming a video of him making a ‘robbery prank’ for his YouTube channel. The YouTuber was said to have gone after a group of people with a butcher knife for the ‘prank video’ in question.
So far we have heard many news that attempts to produce ‘content’ on social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Insatgram have resulted in death. A new one has been added to such events, which often bring death with it as a result of dangerous acts; A teenager who was just 20 years old sadly died after being shot for a YouTube video.
In the unfortunate incident, which took place in the US state of Tenessee, according to police statements, Timothy Wilks, 20, and a friend were making a robbery prank video on his YouTube channel, and Wilks walked over a group of people with a butcher knife in his hand for the ‘joke’. David Starnes Jr., who was in the group, shot Wilks at the time of the incident. No information has yet been shared as to whether Starnes was allowed to carry a gun and the condition of his friend, who was with Wilks at the time of the incidents.

Starnes testified to police after the incident that he was unaware of the prank or the video and that he shot Wilks to protect himself. The situation is so surprising and sad that it is not calculated what consequences it can have to walk on people with a butcher knife, and the degree to which this was done only for a video shows the extent to which the line has been crossed in this regard.
Moreover, as a result of all this, a young man who is only 20 years old loses his life and it is not known what punishment the person who shot him will face. However, it is currently known that Starnes has not face any charges in the case.
