In Italy, 10,176 new cases have been detected in the new coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak since yesterday.
According to daily data released by the Ministry of Health, 10,176 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in 338,436 tests conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Thus, the number of cases has reached 4,102,921 since February last year, when the outbreak began.
The number of active Covid-19 patients in the country decreased to 390,120, and the number of those in the intensive care unit was 2,211.
The death toll rose by 224 to 122,694.
The number of people recovering increased by 17,394 to 3,590,107.
As of today, 23,349,402 people have been vaccinated in the country, where the widespread vaccination campaign against Covid-19 began on December 27, 2020. Of those vaccinated, 7,155,712 were second-dose recipients.
