The Last of Us 2 postponed: Here’s the new release date
The Last of Us Part II came as a surprise postponement decision. The release date of the game has been advanced three months.
One of the most eagerly anticipated games of recent years, The Last of Us Part II, has come to a surprise delay. According to a joint statement by Sony and Naughty Dog today, the new release date is May 29, 2020.
Sony announced the release of The Last of Us Part II for the first time just last month, February 21, 2020. It was interesting that the decision to postpone was taken only a month later. Neil Druckmann, the creative director who published a blog post on the subject, said that the reason for the decision was that the game had not yet reached the standards Naughty Dog wanted.

Druckmann, “We had two choices ahead: making concessions on some parts of the game or asking for more time. We preferred the latter here. The new release date will help us complete the game to our satisfaction. We will also reduce the stress on our team.”
The Last of Us was first released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3. The Last of Us, which was later released as remastered for PlayStation 4, won the appreciation of gamers with its post-apocalyptic world and impressive story and won dozens of awards.
The Last of Us is now reuniting with its second part. Since the announcement in 2016, we are looking forward to the new game in which we have grown up with Ellie. The Last of Us Part II will probably be one of the last big games of this generation.
