The release date for Payday 3 has been announced. Developer Starbreeze has struck a deal with Koch Media. He announced that Koch would pay €50 million ($59 million) to help develop and market the game. Since Payday 3 will adopt the gaming model as a service, this mega deal covers the development of the core game and more than 18 months of post-launch support.
Starbreeze announced in a news release that this investment has provided financial support for game 3. “We have planned to release the game in 2023, console and PC. Therefore, it will not check out anytime soon.” Starbreeze continues to own Payday IP, the company said.

The Franchise, on the other hand, has proven to be extremely successful with 28 million “established base games” so far.
Starbreeze CEO Tobias Sjögren said, “We present this long-term agreement with Koch Media, which shares our passion for games as a Payday franchise and a service model. We are excited to announce the exclusive Payday 3 co-broadcast agreement. We now have a strong foundation for the successful launch of the game.”
It will debut in 2023
Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz said:
“Based on what we’ve seen before, the franchise of the Game will take us to new heights. Payday will delight fans as well as new audiences with innovative multiplayer gameplay.” ..
Payday 3 first announced its acquisition of Starbreeze in 2016 for $30 million. Starbreeze has faced difficult fiscal times in recent years. So this new deal will be a continuation game and a positive development for the company in general.
The new release date is the first it has provided players since October 2020. Starbreeze said Payday 3 is being developed using unreal engine. However, it has confirmed that it is still in the design stage with an unstable release date.
