Monster Hunter Rise sold 4 million copies in just three days

Monster Hunter: Rise, the new game in the Monster Hunter series, has made a very fast introduction to the markets. Producer Capcom announced the huge success of selling four million copies in the first weekend of the game, which went on sale last Friday.

The previous game in the series, Monster Hunter: World, sold five million copies in its first weekend. Monster Hunter: Rise managed to get close to MH: World’s record, although it was only released on the Switch platform. World was released for PS4 and Xbox One.

Monster Hunter is currently Capcom’s second best-selling series (after Resident Evil). Finally, on December 31, 2020, it was announced that the series had sold a total of 66 million copies. Monster Hunter Rise’s sales figures this week put the $70 million limit behind.

Monster Hunter: Rise, which brings brand new mechanics and monsters to the series, will also be released for PC in early 2022. Just like Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise is expected to capture significant sales figures on PC.
