The bad news came today following the exciting trailer for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga last August. The game in question has been postponed again.
Developer TT Games tweeted Friday that the game was delayed from its original 2020 launch. The company tweeted that “we will not be able to make the scheduled Spring release date.” In the tweet, the company promises to be “the biggest and best LEGO game ever” for Lego Star Wars. Sixteen years have passed since the first Lego Star Wars. If Star Wars fans have a chance to get that kind of excitement, it’s definitely worth waiting for. We’ve seen a lot of games being taken out before they’re fully ready. Therefore, if the developers say they need time, it is necessary to give the necessary time. The wait could mean fewer games for new PS5 and Xbox Series X/S buyers to take advantage of their new consoles in the short term. While the Lego game is being postponed, nintendo switch is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
According to the Verge, TT Games will delay the all-encompassing Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga indefinitely. Initially, the game was supposed to be shipped in 2020. But now it has retreated to spring 2021. The game was first announced in 2019. The developers did not explain what caused the delay, as well as the need for “more time.” TT Games added that launch details would come “as soon as possible.” You can watch the introductory video of the game here.
