Cyberpunk 2077 Sold 13.7 Million Copies In 21 Days, 30,000 People Got Refunds

Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most talked-about games of the past year, and The Witcher 3, which put its name on the list of best games, were announced to sell out.

CD Projekt Red, the video game company that gained popularity with The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 games, has announced some statistics about its games.

The game, released on December 10, 2020, sold a total of 13.7 million by December 31, 2020, while the company’s other game, The Witcher series, sold more than 50 million, according to CD Projekt. 30 million of the 50 million sales belong to The Witcher 3.

56% of cyberpunk 2077’s sales or 7.67 million pcs; 28%, or 3.84 million, are on PS4 and 17% are on Xbox One. About 10 million of all sales were digitally sold.

Finally, about 30,000 people wanted to return the game, IGN reported. CD Projekt Red lost $2.23 million for refunds. Although Cyberpunk 2077 has been heavily criticized by players, it’s fair to say that the game sells well and those who want a refund are less than expected. Let’s remember that this data does not include 2021 data. Sales will increase after the next-generation version of the game and its re-release to the PlayStation Store.
