Battlefield, the popular FPS (first-person shooter), comes up with a new production almost every year. This year, however, a surprise is expected from the production’s developer DICE and its publisher, Electronic Arts. Battlefield 6, the next game in the popular series, allegedly comes with a free mode to play.
According to information uncovered by a YouTuber, developer company DICE is conducting some closed surveys for innovations in the upcoming game. In this way, the company measures the reactions to the planned changes to the game. Some questions in the resulting survey revealed some information about the expected Battlefield 6 game. Questions asked to players include map updates, Battle Pass, a new clan system that gives access to paid content, and a free-to-play mode.
Undoubtedly the most notable survey question was the new mode, which is free to play. Actually, it’s not a surprising decision. The series’ biggest rival, Call of Duty, came out last year with a production called Warzone. Unlike the almost annual series, Warzone offered a free Battle Royale experience. Therefore, DICE and Electronic Arts are likely to offer a competitive solution to the popular game. However, it is worth remembering that for the moment the free version is just a claim. The details of the game, which is still in development, are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Battlefield 6 is probably being developed by DICE LA. The studio’s best-known job was Battlefield 4, released in October 2013. Last year, the studio moved away from its headquarters studio and went through a rebranding process to release its own games. The Los Angeles team, which has been silent for some time, is known to be working on a new production of the series.
