Battlefield, the popular FPS-themed game series, will be released this year with a highly anticipated production. Battlefield 6, developed by DICE and released by Electronic Arts, is now on the agenda with a new leak. The allegations say we’ll soon encounter a Battle Royale game.
Claims that Battlefield 6 will come with the Battle Royale experience were first made by popular YouTuber Lossy. The young creator shared many leaks about the game. These include details such as maps that change over time, free cosmetic rewards, a free mode. Finally, the publisher also mentioned Battle Royale. But the real big leak on the subject appeared on another platform.
Battlefield 6 leaked insider information
On the social media platform Reddit, a user named “bf6leaker” revealed many curious details about Battlefield 6. The leaker said he was in contact with one of the team that developed the game at DICE.
Battlefield 6 will allegedly offer up to 128 players. Among the approved maps, there are currently three different names: Wake Island, Metro, Locker. However, the most striking claim in the report is that the free mode will come with the Battle Royale experience.
This mode promises huge revenues for gaming companies. Electronic Arts already has a brand like Apex Legends. But it seems EA wants to increase its dividend on the cake further. For now, these allegations have not been officially confirmed by the company. But Reddit moderators confirmed that the source who made the leak actually received information from a staff member at DICE.
The game’s release date is a mystery for now. Neither Electronic Arts nor DICE have commented on the matter. But the allegations suggested the broadcaster would make the expected announcement in May. According to estimates, Battlefield 6 will be launched for the first time at E3 in June.
