Kevin Lin, one of the founders of the Twitch platform, recently announced that he is leaving the firm. Thus, only one of Twitch’s co-founders remained at the firm.
Twitch has further parted ways with its co-founders
With Lin officially announcing his departure from the company in an article published on his personal blog at medium, Emmet Shear, who served as CEO, remained the only person left at the beginning of the company. Lin served as chief operating officer from 2008 to 2018. Justin Kan, Kyle Vogt and Michael Seibel, who had previously been among the co-founders, had left the firm for various reasons.
“I look forward to spending time with my family and loved ones, getting some sleep and relaxing, playing sports and, of course, being interested in video games that I can’t play,” Lin said in a statement, adding that he wasn’t clear about his future plans. In addition, Lin said, “I am very excited to expand my curiosity and continue to explore a world where technology is a positive booster in our lives.” In this way, he signaled that he could participate in other projects in the future.
