Developer CD Projekt Red plans to introduce a next-generation update for Witcher 3 this year. With the release of the next generation of consoles, a new generation update will come to Witcher 3. With this next-generation update, the graphics and skin quality of the game will be tailored to the next generation of consoles. The Witcher 3 next-generation update is also coming to the PC version. And if you’ve purchased Witcher 3, you’ll be able to upgrade to the next-generation version for free.
Earlier this week, Halk Hogan, developer of Witcher 3 HD Reworked mode, announced that he is in talks with CD Projekt Red about the Witcher 3 next-generation update. The People’s announcement reads:
“Hello, my dear friends! It’s been a long time since the last video. I know I announced a new HDRP preview in early March, but I’ve always been silent. I’m sorry about that, but there’s some good news in return, reasons why I’m quiet and why I don’t have much to show for it. I think the most important news is that I received an official message from CD Projekt Red regarding the collaboration. Although it is not yet certain, HDRP will likely be included in the official update of the next generation. I’ll let you know what’s next. As always, thank you for all your support and kind words. <3”
The HD Reworked mode developed by Halk Hogan adds sharper and clearer skins to Witcher 3. In Witcher 3, the skin quality in some locations is quite poor, and The People’s HDRP mode takes a hand in it.
Luke Plunkett of Kotaku contacted CD Projekt Red to confirm Public Hogan’s statement. CD Projekt Red, “The Witcher 3; Xbox Series X | In addition to our development efforts in the next-generation version for S, PlayStation 5, and PC, we are also talking to the creators of various modes for the 2015 version of the game.”
As the People’s statement noted, nothing has been finalized yet. “But as of now, we do not have a binding agreement with such a party,” CD Projekt Red said, referring to Mr. Hogan.
