Age of Empires 4, a new game in the Age of Empires series, a real-time strategy game, will debut for PC in the fall. It’s been 24 years since the first Age of Empires (AoE) game. Newcomer to the series, AoE 4, will have four new historical scenarios and 8 playable civilizations.
What civilizations does Age of Empires 4 host?
AoE 4 puts players in the middle of historic events. One of the most notable historical events is the Norman script. The Norman script is about a fight between Harold Godwinson, king of the Anglo-Saxons, and William the Conqueror, who covet Harold’s crown. The Norman scenario is home to many battles throughout the war history in the scenario, including the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The scenario will span several years in both the UK and France. Each scenario offers a long gameplay time. After the game is released, new scenarios and civilizations may come as DLC.
Each civilization has its own mechanics in the game. The example is city transport. The Mongols can move an entire city and relocate it. Among the civilizations described in AoE 4 are China, the British, the Sultanate of Delhi and the Mongols. The event, planned by developer Rellic, will show all 8 civilizations. Age of Empires 4 will debut on Windows PC in the fall of 2021. The game will also come to Xbox Game Pass PC.
