Volkswagen to sell shares of Lamborghini and Ducati
Volkswagen continues to speed up its electrification project. In this context, the manufacturer will invest a total of 86 billion dollars and conduct studies on electric, hybrid and digital technologies. The same project will create a comprehensive change in the brand’s Italian operations.
As you know, there have been rumors that Volkswagen could sell brands such as Lamborghini, Bugatti and Ducati. However, according to Automotive News Europe, the brand is preparing to sell the shares of Lamborghini, Ducati and Italdesign trio. In fact, according to the claims, this trio will be melted in a single crucible to get more demand.
Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess: “We are working on our operations in Italy. So at this point we want to get to a place where we can act fast. But for now we have not made a clear decision.”
For a while, we’ve heard that Volkswagen specifically wants to get out of the Lamborghini and Ducati. So much so that the Croatian supercar manufacturer Rimac is even said to have stepped in for Lamborghini. Let’s see what will happen in the coming days?
