Huawei will reportedly buy one of its Chinese car brands to produce its own electric cars. Among the candidates are Seres and ArcFox, Reuters reported.
Chinese tech giant Huawei aims to make significant progress on electric cars. As part of this project, the company can purchase one of the smaller car manufacturers.
Huawei is in talks to buy one of the China-based electric car companies, Reuters reported. One candidate is Seres within the Sokon holding company, and the other is ArcFox, which operates under the umbrella of BAIC Group.
Let’s remember that Huawei already has an efficient collaboration with these companies. Both brands use Huawei’s operating system in the multimedia systems in their cars.
In addition, Huawei sells Seres’ electric cars through its retail network. He is also a minority shareholder in Arcfox. Huawei is expected to launch its first self-designed electric car this year.
