China-exclusive Kia Sportage Ace at the Guangzhou Motor Show
The coronavirus pandemic has taken away many auto shows. One of the rare organizations that survived this massacre, the Guangzhou Auto Show opened its doors to visitors over the past weekend. The new Sportage Ace, which we see at this fair, will be one of the first products of Kia’s China initiative.
Let’s start by reminding that this model is not the next generation Sportage that will come to Europe. Sharing its foundations with the Hyundai ix35, this model will have an interesting design after the make-up operation. The model we see with the GT Line hardware package in the video draws attention with its huge grille reminiscent of the new Hyundai Tucson and Telluride.
At the rear, Telluride and Sorento touches are clearly noticeable, while the fake diffuser draws our attention. Complementing this part with the same “fake” exhaust outlets, Kia used orange touches on the vehicle for the GT Line hardware package.
The darkened windows of the vehicle on display in Guangzhou indicate that Kia is hesitant to show the cabin of the vehicle yet. On the other hand, we believe that the make-up operation can cause serious changes in the cabin.
